Apollo 9 debuts at Venice Design Week
A splendid debut for our Apollo 9 table lamp at the Venice Design Week, an event that celebrates the best of creativity and innovation in design. Exhibited in the prestigious setting of the Hotel Luna Baglioni, Apollo 9 fascinated the public with its contemporary and unconventional design: a creation in which a few elements with essential shapes come together to give life to a luminous “creature”, alien and at the same time familiar.
Inspired by a spaceship launched into space, Apollo 9 blends the futuristic imagery of the space age with the postmodern aesthetics of the Memphis collective. This lamp stands out for its three cylindrical legs in solid Murano glass, and a lampshade hand-blown by master glassmakers, which recalls with its irregular bubbles the appearance of the lunar surface, creating fascinating plays of transparency and texture.
Technology and Craftsmanship Meet
At the centre of the dome, the LED projector integrates advanced technology with a handcrafted soul, equipped with a rechargeable battery and dimmer-touch functions, accompanied by a USB connection for recharging. The structure can be customised with brushed metal finishes in nickel, gold, copper and burnished, offering a wide variety of aesthetic combinations.
